David Umbricht is the Chief Operating Officer and Managing Director of Shadmoor Advisors.

Prior to joining Shadmoor, Mr. Umbricht was a Portfolio Manager at Turtle Creek Investment Advisors, a family office, where he spent seven years investing across a broad range of asset classes including long-only equity, fixed income, hedge funds, private equity, credit, and real estate. He also spent eight years with Allianz’s fund of funds businesses, focusing on hedge fund strategies.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Umbricht worked at Citigroup within its fund of funds group and private bank in Geneva, Switzerland, where he covered active trading clients across the Middle East and Europe.

Mr. Umbricht is a 1995 graduate of Boston College and a CFA Charterholder. He is based in Southport, Connecticut.
